moon phases

The middle ground between the light of the sun and the darkness of the night, between the conscious and the unconscious. The symbol of femininity, eternity, enlightenment, reflection, and inner knowledge. It controls tides, rains, waters, and seasons in both nature and man.

It’s the moon and you don’t have to be hippie, or pagan, or spiritual guru to reap the benefits. Since ancient times, the sky has been a faithful guide for all.

The phases of the moon resemble the phases of man. We have the New Moon that represents childhood, childhood, new beginnings, the Crescent Moon the youth, adolescence, rebellion, the Full Moon, maturity, pregnancy, wisdom, and the Waning Moon the decline of life, sleep, rest.

Today, I want to talk about the full moon. A time to open our mind, body, and soul so that we may receive its powerful energy and its infinite possibilities. It’s an opportunity to finish something, to clean up negative energy, to release old models, to let go of stories that are no longer good for us.

A moment to ask ourselves: What are you struggling with at the moment? What shadows need to come to light? What skills or inner resources do you need to draw on? Reflect on these questions or journal about them.

To take full advantage of it, take a moment to connect yourself with its energy through a ritual of purification and manifestation. It shouldn’t be complicated. While there is nothing wrong with following someone’s ritual, creating one’s own may have more impact on the process.

As you will see, there are no concrete rules, just a basic structure that you can follow if you like. Customize it to suit your style and represent you better. You can do this alone or with your best friends.

Consider cleaning up your home, freshen the air, change the sheets, rearrange your wardrobe, see Marie Kondo’s program on Netflix ‘Tidy up’. When you’re done, prepare your favorite tea and create a sacred space with candles, flowers, crystals, mandalas, feathers, oils, photography, everything you think is sacred and makes you feel feminine and safe.

Here are some ideas for brewing tea:

Chamomile (for meeting life with calmness and gentleness)
Holy Basil (for emotional resilience)
Calendula (for passion and creativity)
Dandelion (for achieving your wishes and goals)
Peppermint (for purification)
Rose (for self-love and compassion)
Lemongrass (for optimism and open communication)
Ginger (for getting in touch with your personal power)
Ginkgo Biloba (for integration)
Jasmine (for sensuality and sexual confidence)
Mugwort (for increased intuition and visionary abilities)

Now, I will guide you through this step-by-step process. Remember, it’s your process, so make it feel good for YOU and most importantly, do it with love. Here is what you need for creating your sacred space:

— candles;

— Palo Santo, sage, or anything to clear the space;

— pen & paper;

— 2 bowls (one empty, one with water and your favorite essential oil);

— 1 towel;

— white clothes (white clothes will help you to attract more energy from the moon)

After you finished, you're ready to start:

  1. Sit comfortably and take in a deep breath.
  2. Invite the spiritual guides of your own understanding to help and guide you.
  3. Put some relaxing and high vibrational music.
  4. Pour water in one of the bowls, add a few drops of essential oil, some petals, perhaps lavender or basil.
  5. Light a candle that you will use to burn the piece of paper.
  6. If you are outside, close your eyes, breathe deeply, and let it wash you in the moonlight. If you are inside, close your eyes, breathe deeply and imagine yourself under a waterfall. Let it wash all the negative and stagnant energy you no longer need.
  7. Now, move your breath into the abdomen. Focus on your body.
  8. Open your eyes, take a piece of paper and write down all the things/relations/situations/limiting beliefs/dramas/addictions that you want to release because they no longer serve your highest good. When you’re done, date and sign it.
  9. Read aloud what you’ve written. Set your intention to let it all go. Imagine that they leave your mind, body, and soul. Be assured that you are safe to do so since your spiritual guides are there to help and guide you.
  10. Say it out loud: now, I’m gonna let you go and you’re gone!
  11. Look how it burns and disintegrates inside the empty bowl.
  12. Wash your hands in the water you have prepared with the essential oil — you are now clean of the old withdrawing you.
  13. Close your eyes and imagine what your life will look like now that nothing is holding you back. Imagine having a magic wand carrying you to your ideal life: Where would you live? What would you wear? What would you eat? What do you do every day?
  14. Ask yourself what kind of skills or attributes you need to be able to live your ideal life and let your intuition respond. After you have received the answers, open your eyes, and write them on a piece of paper. When you’re done. Put it near your heart, and thank the Full Moon for giving you the opportunity to recreate yourself every month and to safely release everything that is holding you back. Place the piece of paper somewhere near the window so that the moon can wash it with its magic.
  15. Now go have a long bath with some Epsom salt & essential oils. Scrub your skin and let it all shed.

There’s no limit. Anything is possible when you imagine a life lived in joy, play, and abundance.

Remember, there are no rules for a perfect ritual. What’s important here is to do everything with ease, love, and how it feels good for you. Happy manifesting and hope this helped!
